In a welcome announcement to prospective car buyers in Qatar, Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co. (AMTC) has announced that the new Kia Telluride models are now available for reservation. As the exclusive distributor of Kia in Qatar, AMTC believes the Telluride is an exciting option for families in Qatar with its inspiring blend of bold styling, robust off-road performance and responsive handling and premium interior comfort.
Exterior design: bold yet modern
Guided by the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the new Telluride’s styling conveys both stylish modernity and a robust and strong stance. The front face emphasizes a differentiated off-road image compared to the older version, owing to its tough and rigid bumper and grille design.
The headlamps have been redesigned to vertical dual-LED type that is standard for all trims. As a 4-cube, projection-type full LED headlamp, the Telluride offers practicality and visibility off the road on all occasions. The rigid bumper has been given an enhanced look to resemble a frame.

Interior design: modern, high-tech, and seamless premium comfort
The interior design has undergone upgrades as well into a more modern cabin. With cutting-edge technology packaged in slim, wide design elements, the new Telluride’s interior is more upscale with its premium materials.
The seamless cluster and infotainment screens are housed by a massive curved display that can come at 12.3” for both. Offering information on speed, car mileage, safety systems and more relevant information, the new Telluride understands the importance to present the car data cleanly through a more minimalistic dashboard design.
The gear knob and wireless charging tray area has improved details such as wood garnish and touch parts to provide more advanced and upgraded usability. Even the air vents have been refreshed with a horizontal design, slim lining and satin chrome garnish.
Aside from premium materials, the new Telluride’s interior comes with high-tech options such as the Tri-Zone full automatic temperature control which gives driver, front and rear passengers separate controls to maintain their preferred personal climate zone. To get to enjoy long road trips more, higher option trims come with the Harman Kardon™ premium sound system which comes with QuantumLogic™ surround sound and Clari-Fi™ which is an intelligent, real-time, music restoration technology.
The new Telluride also comes with generous space for both passengers and cargo. Comfortably seating seven (7) or eight (8) passengers in three (3) rows of reclining seats, access is done with ease as well for the rear seats with the walk-in button for hassle-free reclining and adjustment.
Robust Performance: improved body rigidity, off-road capability and driving dynamics
The new Telluride is powered by a reliable Lambda 3.8L V6 GDI engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system. The engine is able to generate up to 291 horsepower and 36.2 kilogram-force meter of torque that will be handy for the adventures ahead. Outstanding fuel economy is also achieved with CVVT engaged over a wide range of engine speeds. With this, the refreshed model gives its driver more than enough power to merge into highways smoothly and conquer rough terrains with ease. The available all-wheel drive (AWD) system allows the driver to deliver smooth shifts and gear selections that match the driving conditions.
As a truly modern SUV, the new Telluride is still equipped with four (4) drive modes: Comfort, Eco, Sport and Smart and three (3) terrain modes: Sand, Mud and Snow. As an all-access, all-terrain SUV, the Telluride helps you master the roads, whether on or off them.
Active safety systems: Always on the lookout for possible dangers
As a true modern SUV, the new Telluride is laden with a variety of active and passive safety systems. Among these are the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) which warns the driver when risk of collision is detected with forward vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists. With the Front Collision Assist – Junction Assist (FCA-JX), even intersections at turning points are accounted for. If necessary, brakes are automatically applied to help prevent collision. Aside from this, other notable safety features are Head-up Display (HUD), Blind-spot Collision Assistance (BCA), Blind-spot View Monitor (BVM), Lane Follow Assist (LFA), Surround-View Monitor (SVM) and Downhill Brake Control (DBC).
